8 steps to accountability: Accountability is "A Real Thing"
As an IO Psychologist, HR professional, Career Development Coach, significant other and parent, I have played both a starring role and supporting character in relationship-based scenarios that could have been resolved had one or both parties acknowledged their parts.
- Taking responsibility for your actions.
- Owning the part that you played.
- Being brave enough to make someone else aware of how their behaviors impacted you with an expectation that there's change.
- Changing your behaviors and thoughts toward something.
All of these are examples of taking accountability; we all struggle.
Through my sharing of real-life scenarios, it's my intent to provide you with support on how to hold yourself accountable.
